A Different and Healthier Approach to Grief

I’m paraphrasing and sharing a definition and journey of an entrepreneur by Howard Schultz, the founder of Starbucks, because I feel it resonates with the grief journey a person takes after losing a loved one.

The life of an entrepreneur can be very lonely. Success is very hard to achieve. The challenges of being an entrepreneur are things you don’t expect. Therefore, a person's

resilience must endure many, many times… unwilling to give up and fail.

To be successful, an entrepreneur must believe in their idea or venture so much that they are willing to do the work it will take to succeed, and also surround themselves with people who can finish the race and share the stage with them.- Howard Schultz, Starbucks Founder

Yes, grief is a lonely path at first. However, if a griever takes ownership of their grief and does the work, they “will” succeed in managing their grief and moving forward with life in a healthy way.

If you’re not happy with the traditional approach to grieving and are looking for a healthier one, I invite you to take a leap of faith from failure to success by joining and/or supporting the Let’s Talk Grief™ Project.
